Position Title: Human Resources Manager

Position Overview
Partners In Health (PIH) is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager who will play the role of a HR Generalist working across multiple functions of the HR team to support managers and employees in the areas of HR operations and employee relations, compensation and benefits, and policy development and implementation. The HR Manager will play a key role in providing direct support to our Boston-based staff, remote staff, and expatriate staff. The HR manager will also be responsible for identifying opportunities and implementing best practices and process improvements for the PIH HR Boston office. This role may also work on similar projects in collaboration with site-based HR teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide pro-active employee relations support to Boston-based staff and managers, partner with managers to increase their understanding of HR practices and improve their management skills (30%)
- Organize and lead project initiatives, focusing on both change management and technical implementation, and provide ongoing program management for a variety of Human Resources deliverables and initiatives (30%)
- Recommend new approaches and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the HR department and services performed. (20%)
- Serve as a resource to PIH U.S. employees and Expatriates in support of PIH policies, benefits, and employment-related acting as a guide, providing information, and helping to resolve problems. (20%)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Human Resources Generalist
- Comfort in managing ambiguity
- Knowledge of and experience in applying HR best practices in; performance management, conflict management, employee relations and fundamental principles of employment law required; experience in workforce planning and talent acquisition desirable.
- Excellent skills in oral and written communication, facilitation and presentation
- Experience and skills in mentoring and coaching
- Experience in project management
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with culturally diverse staff across departments and country.
- Interest in social justice strongly desirable.
